OHIO HISTORY was established in June 1887 as the Ohio Archaeological and Historical Quarterly. For more than one hundred years, the journal has published peer-reviewed articles and book reviews on topics spanning the political, military, social, economic, and cultural history of our region.
Published by the Kent State University Press since 2007, Ohio History was the scholarly journal of the Ohio Historical Society for more than 100 years. The journal is an essential tool for researchers of Ohio and the Middle West. The Fall 2024 issue is the last one published by the Kent State University Press.
The Ohio History Connection provides a free and fully searchable online archive of Ohio History's issues spanning from 1887 through 2004 at https://resources.ohiohistory.org/ohj/ .
