The state approves funding for a library building. The 55,000 square foot facility will be placed at the center of campus and is expected to be completed in 1975. A 48-hour residency requirement is removed by the university, allowing students who complete their coursework at the Stark Campus to graduate. However, the campus struggles to offer the upper-division courses required for completion of degrees.
