The campus switches (along with the rest of the university) from a quarters system to semesters. An "experimental" program on Colonial Williamsburg is offered, which includes a trip to Williamsburg, VA. The program originated at the East Liverpool campus with Dr. William Bittle (future dean at Stark) and was administered at Stark by Dr. Thomas Sosnowski. The course and trip are still offered. The Montage staff believes it is time to change the name of the newspaper and has a contest to rename it.
