This chapter discusses the use of a text-matching software service offered by University Libraries to help students improve their writing and reduce instances of accidental plagiarism. In 2016 the library designed a system that allowed students to submit their draft papers to the library, and librarians provided feedback to the students. The service has been constantly evolving in terms of the management/administration of the service. In 2021 the university transitioned from using SafeAssign to Turnitin. This required a revision to the student interface and the creation of tutorials for students and faculty. The library also provided assistance to faculty members writing manuscripts. The project has been well-received by students, faculty, and administrators and can serve as a model for other libraries.
